CHONBURI – More than a hundred road signs and Soi signs worth over 10,000 baht each were stolen from Chonburi. With only sign-less poles to guide them, people have been left confused and lost in direction.

Residents in Samed district, Chonburi, informed the counsel that road signs were being stolen, both on roads and in Soi’s. Outraged citizens said the sign-less poles are a sign that the city is full of thieves.

Mr. Yutthana Suphaphan, the head minister of Samed District Centre confirmed that the signs were stolen. He said he will not pursue the case because the road and Soi signs are the property of Chonburi. Suphaphan told residents that Chonburi Province City Centre is responsible for putting up new signs.

There has been no mention of police.
