Bomb Explodes in Hand

NAKORN PATHOM – Two young men drove into a monastery at high speed as one of them lit up a bomb in back seat to throw into one of the schools buildings. The bomb, however, exploded in the guy’s hand. Both men panicked and drove off through the back and headed towards a hospital.

Piyawat Sribunya, 21-years-old, had his right hand blown off by an explosive he was trying to throw. When police arrived at the temple school, they found blood trails and traces of human flesh along with the fragments of fingers scattered along the ground. Five chunks of tissue were stuck to the school buildings wall. The explosion had been powerful.

Bomb residue was also found on site and police said the explosive was most likely a
“Ping Pong Bomb.” The history behind this name is unknown.
